The journey began with repairing horse tack, working with saddles and bridles built to endure years of movement, weight, and time. That work revealed an essential truth: enduring performance begins with exceptional leather, but it is craftsmanship that determines how it looks, wears, and lasts.

Today, that same philosophy guides every piece we create. We begin with full-grain leather chosen for its strength and character, then shape it through careful design and considered construction. We oversee each stage of production to ensure every piece performs and ages as well as it looks, wearing in, not wearing out.

Our products use only full-grain leather; it is the best, most expensive type of leather because it includes all the layers of hide, ensuring long-lasting suppleness, durability, and hand feel.

WHY IS FULL GRAIN LEATHER SO DESIRABLE?


Full-grain leather is considered the best and highest-quality type of leather for several reasons, mainly due to its durability, natural appearance, and aging properties.


Full-grain leather is made from the Complete animal hide, which includes all the natural grain. It is not sanded, buffed, or corrected to remove imperfections. This preserves the hide’s full strength and unique texture.

Because it retains the entire grain layer, full-grain leather is stronger and more durable than other types (like top-grain or genuine leather). The natural fibers in the grain make it resistant to tearing, stretching, and wear, it can last decades or even a lifetime with proper care.

Over time, full-grain leather develops a patina, a soft, glossy sheen that enhances its appearance with age and use. This gives it a distinct, vintage character that many people value in high-end bags, shoes, and furniture.

The natural pores of the hide remain intact, allowing the leather to breathe. This makes full-grain leather more comfortable in products like shoes, jackets, and upholstery, as it adjusts to temperature and moisture better than processed leathers.
