Years ago, I spent some time in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A beautiful city with a well-deserved reputation fine red wine, delicious red meat, high quality leather and the best polo in the World. The San Telmo Sunday Market quickly became one of my favorite places in Buenos Aires. Craftsmen from far and wide gather there each weekend selling just about anything. If you ever find yourself in Buenos Aires do yourself a favor and visit this market.
One Sunday as I was walking through the market, I came across a leather craftsman whose goods stood out even among a city and a market renowned for high quality leather. That day I bought a weekender bag that became the benchmark upon which I judged all leather goods from that day forward.
It was just the right size, not too big nor too small. The design was simple and clean but rugged, stylish yet masculine. The quality and feel of the leather was amazing, with a subtle pebbled texture overlaid and accented with a contrasting smooth oiled leather. At the time I didn’t know enough about leather to know what pebbled leather or oiled leather were, but I innately recognized this bag, its craftsmanship and materials were a cut above any other leather bag I had ever seen or touched.
I bought that bag that day and to this day I never fail to get a compliment on it whenever I travel through an airport.
Fast forward to 2023 as we were starting Equestrian Noire, this bag was on my mind, and I promised myself I would design a weekender bag that lived up to bag I bought all those years ago in the San Telmo Sunday market.
True to the original that inspired it, this weekender bag features high quality full grain leather with two subtly contrasting colors and textures. The interior is lined with a rugged canvas and has an interior zipper pocket.
Neither too big nor too small, this bag is sized perfectly for a weekend getaway and perfect as a carry on. We kept the design simple, clean and functional with a look that is going to be as stylish and relevant 20 years from now as it is today.
We named this bag the Aiken Weekender, After Aiken, SC a small town famous for its concentration of horses and a hotbed of polo. We often haul the horses from Atlanta to Aiken for a weekend of horses and polo.

material defects. Please contact us if you believe your leather bag has a
manufacturing or material defect.
We will need photos of the product and proof of purchase, and we will happily replace or repair your bag. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, spills, or tears resulting from neglect, improper care, accident, or
normal wear and tear.
